Garment Street Condos: Transforming Downtown Kitchener’s Skyline and Lifestyle

Garment Street Condos is a landmark three-tower residential development situated in Downtown Kitchener. Paying homage to the site’s industrial heritage, the development features an internal road aptly named “Garment Street.” This project seamlessly integrates residential spaces with a heritage building, known as “Glove Box,” which has been converted into office space by Edge Architects (now mcCallumSather), creating a harmonious urban environment.

Innovative interconnected parking structures support a shared approach to bicycle and vehicle parking. Notably, Garment Street Condos marked the first collaborative effort between the City and ABA under the draft Tall Buildings Guidelines. Throughout the project, ABA worked closely with the City to meticulously assess tower separation impacts and meet podium design requirements, ensuring a cohesive and successful development.
