Interiors:

Cornerstone Architecture

Location:

Kitchener, Ontario

In a major step forward for educational facilities, the fourth floor of the B Building at Conestoga College’s Doon Campus underwent a remarkable transformation. The 4B Creative Industries project is set to redefine the learning environment for students at the School of Creative Industries through this comprehensive renovation that brings cutting-edge design and functionality to the forefront.

The renovation project was conceived through close collaboration with the School of Creative Industries, resulting in an innovative design that aligns perfectly with the department’s educational goals. Central to this vision is the creation of specialized spaces that cater to various facets of creative studies. These include a versatile VMA Classroom/Experiential Design and Maker Space, two BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) Classrooms, two cutting-edge Cintiq Labs for digital illustration, and a Broadcasting Studio. These facilities are thoughtfully situated around a central circulation spine, encouraging fluid movement and interaction among students.

The 4B Creative Industries project is more than just a renovation; it’s a commitment to fostering innovation, creativity, and practical learning opportunities for students. As Conestoga College continues to invest in cutting-edge educational facilities, the future looks bright for the next generation of creative industry professionals.
