Charlie West Condos: Transforming Downtown Kitchener’s Skyline and Lifestyle
 
Charlie West is now a landmark in downtown Kitchener, offering a blend of urban living spaces and commercial amenities in a centrally located, transit-oriented, mixed-use building. The structure comprises a commercial and parking podium topped by a residential tower, all situated on a compact infill site at the heart of downtown.
 
To meet a demanding design and site planning schedule, the building adheres to existing zoning regulations while achieving a high density of 300 units. The ABA team’s deep understanding of Kitchener’s bonusing and parking ratio provisions enabled them to design an efficient and high-quality residential tower that fulfilled the client’s requirements without necessitating minor variances or additional public planning procedures.
